“I strive to be enthusiastic and engaging in all aspects of my teaching. I enjoy bringing music to life with students of all ages, enabling them to explore their own identities through playing and learning. I believe that music and the performing arts are central to a person’s wellbeing and confidence and every child should have the opportunity to be a part of this exciting world.”
BMus (Hons) Music
PGCE Music Education
Growing up in a large musical family sparked an interest in music at a very young age for Kazia. She began playing the piano when she was five and later took up the clarinet and saxophone. At the age of fourteen Kazia began voice lessons, winning the ABRSM Memorial prize in 2004 for her graded singing exam. After gaining a Grade 8 distinction on Clarinet, she went on to study Clarinet and Voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, leaving with a BMus (Hons). Having always aspired to pass on her love of music to others, Kazia studied for her Professional Graduate Diploma in Music Education, proudly coming away with Outstanding Teacher Status. Kazia has 10 years instrumental and vocal teaching experience, as well as specialist skills in early years music and movement, drama and dance.
Kazia is a keen chamber and orchestral musician and as a clarinetist and singer, her performing career has taken her to venues in and around London including The Barbican Hall, LSO St. Luke’s and The Royal Albert Hall.
Since moving to beautiful Grand Cayman, Kazia has been a proud member of the Tropical Trio, a classical wind ensemble, The Cayman National Orchestra and The Cayman National Choir.
Alongside her teaching at the Music Studio you will find Kazia at Footsteps, Cayman’s gorgeous boutique primary school, leading the children in their Music and Drama classes.
